Armac Martin is a British brand of kitchen handles & knobs designed and manufactured in Birmingham since 1929. They are also known to feature in some of the world’s finest kitchens. Every one of their products is designed in-house, with meticulous attention to ensure that their commitment to design and quality is met time and time again.

For the last few years in the world of kitchens there was a huge demand for handleless cabinetry, but handles in our eyes will never completely go out of fashion. Combining handle styles and materials can give you a beautiful and individual dream kitchen that will be loved for many years.

At Nicholas Bridger Handmade Kitchen Company we are proud to offer these luxury finishing touches to our clients. There is a large array of finishes available to compliment your style and personal taste. All products are also produced from solid brass for absolute reliability and longevity with the plating being applied on top. They really are a great type of handle style to fit perfectly in to a traditional shaker or a contemporary in-frame.

A bit of history on Armac Martin

Armac Martin was founded in 1929 by local brassfounder Harold McGrail. Armac where he worked was a manufacturer of reproduction of furniture fittings. He retired in 1988 aged 83, where he sucessfully led the business through the most difficult of periods in WW2. Harold’s son then took over the company after his retirement, and set up relationships with many distributors around the world. Armac re-branded in 2012 and Armac Martin was born. Throughout their 90 years of trading they have become a leading name in luxury cabinet hardware fittings.

As Armac Martin celebrate their 90 year anniversary, they are still driven with a passion to continue to design and create luxury cabinet hardware, with exciting new products planned.

Classic Shaker Kitchen – Bishop’s Stortford

Our beautiful project in Bishop’s Stortford was completed in a Grade II listed property with our popular Classic shaker style. The layout of this kitchen consisted of two parts. The main kitchen featured a large island centred in the middle and a handmade bar, with the second part of the kitchen built into a galley style. Our client chose the Armac Martin ‘Merrick’ handles and knobs in a polished chrome throughout their kitchen to provide a stunning contrast against the two-tone colour scheme. The Merrick collection is machined from solid-brass and has traditional appearance with the reeded design.

Classic Shaker Kitchen – Stansted Mountfitchet, Essex Project

The project we completed in Stansted Mountfitchet has been finished with Armac Martin handles from the Cotswold collection, finished in a chrome finish. The classic bespoke in-frame kitchen style is handmade and been hand painted in a neutral colour so the handles shine through, and match with other fixtures and fittings. These handles are ideally suited to a shaker design, and were a perfect choice for this classic shaker hub of the home.
