Bridger Kitchen Diary – A closer look at the Classic Shaker in Stock, Essex

This is very much of a wow kitchen! With a two-tone colour scheme and our bespoke classic shaker style furniture, it has been beautifully designed with close attention to detail. The large open-plan space also features many Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances built into the perfect place amongst the kitchen cabinets.

Say hello to this stunning and spacious classic shaker…

… situated in a modern home in Stock, Essex

The kitchen layout is designed in an L-shape with an island built in the centre to act as a divider in the grand space. We think it is a dream kitchen!

We hand-painted the island, utility room and TV cabinet in Card Room Green by Farrow & Ball. Card Room Green is a masculine grey-green named after the study like rooms much favoured in the Victorian period. It really comes alive when contrasted with a lighter hue, but feels more contemporary when used with no contrasts at all.

Slipper Satin by Farrow & Ball was applied to the main areas of the furniture. Slipper Satin is a chalky off-white which is popular and takes its name from the delicate colour of silk used in traditional ballet slippers. This colour often reads as a pale grey chalk which makes for a perfect neutral on walls and furniture.

A Calacatta Oro splashback fills the space where a creamy marble with subtle gold and grey colours run along the veins in a gorgeous design. This area certainly acts as a dream backdrop!

All handles and knobs are from Armac Martin and finished in an aged brass finish.

The island seats 6 guests! Ratten style bar stools flow elegantly around the overhang, where nibbles can be tasted and drinks can be sipped on a perfect evening with friends and family.

This is a great shot of three of the major appliance zones within this hub of the home. The appliances consist of the Sub-Zero over and under style Fridge Freezer with French doors for the fridge and a drawer system for the freezer, the Wolf M-Series contemporary stainless steel selection of Convection Steam Oven, Built-in Oven and Warming Drawer, then we have the Wolf Rangetop with its dual-stacked burners giving you the ability to enjoy an indoor BBQ style of cooking to be enjoyed by all your family and guests.

A beautiful set-up of the finest cooking and cooling appliances in the world all under one roof.

We are loving this shot of the Wolf Range Top and marble backdrop. Just look at that impressive range top!

Check out this view of just how well our pull-out drawers work below the Wolf Rangetop. A popular option with our clients, these drawers bring everything out to you, so no bending down or rummaging around for what you need, it’s all visible inside the solid Oak drawer boxes, sitting on quality Grass runners which are soft-close and full extension.⠀

Stunning, Perrin and Rowe taps and Sink are another focal point in this kitchen in Stock, Essex. Aged Brass finishes have been specified for a traditional look and feel with modern functionality. The instant boiling water tap is to the left of the main taps and is from Quooker and is their Classic Fusion.

The breakfast pantry you see here includes the quartz worktop in the base, which allows you to leave the bi-fold doors open all day if you wish…we would as it looks so gorgeous.⠀

As you can see on the back wall here the cabinets go from floor-to-ceiling which enjoys a fully built-in look. The truly bespoke nature of our kitchens allows for this.⠀

 This cosy TV set-up is the ultimate retreat to unwind to after cooking that spectacular meal with them unbelievable appliances.

We built a lovely solid wood TV cabinet that’s placed centrally underneath the television. It provides a ledge to put decorative accessories on and two cabinet doors that are filled with shelves for DVDs or other gadgets.

We love the two potted trees on either side.

When the utility is the ultimate extension of the kitchen! Featuring the washing appliances, another beautiful sink & tap configuration from Perrin & Rowe and a boot room – all in one.⠀
