  3. Bridger Kitchen Diary – A closer look at the Classic Shaker in Cuffley, Herts

Our popular classic shaker style cabinetry has been designed into this room to fully utilise the space available with a large central island and an L-shaped run of furniture. This was part of a full-house renovation project. Our client also selected award-winning appliances for their hub of the home from Sub-Zero Wolf. The robust feel and stainless steel look of the sleek appliances combines with the kitchen design perfectly and makes it our client’s dream space.

Say hello to this warm and welcoming professional handmade kitchen…

… in a lovely home in the heart of Cuffley, Herts.

The large central island can seat 4-6 people depending on the stools used.

Carrara marbled worktops were selected and a huge space was designed onto the island, allowing our client to have an additional prep area.

The island integrates a symmetrical layout of 6 drawers and the central pull-out is for the bins, there are 3 chopping boards and a personalised serving tray all within easy reach.⠀

We even incorporated a bespoke bookshelf to this end of the island with open shelving. Our client can select the cookbook easily and quickly for that perfect dish.

When looking at the furniture in more detail the cabinets have been hand-painted in Pointing by Farrow & Ball and Bournville handles by Armac Martin have been selected to complete the look.

Pointing by Farrow & Ball is a warm and delicate white, which is fresh and uncomplicated named after the colour of lime pointing used in traditional brickwork. Pointing has a warm undertone to it which creates the prettiest of spaces when used in a room and always softens the feel alongside strong, traditional colours.

The Bournville collection from Armac Martin enhances the look of the cabinetry, made in the heart of England working beautifully across an array of spaces. Our client opted for a satin chrome-plated finish for a more contemporary look. This design is a truly stylish choice!

A lovely shot from the other side of the island showing off those Sub-Zero Wolf kitchen appliances.

A pop-up socket has been included in the island design for our client to plug their additional appliances in, and a bespoke luxurious towel rail fits perfectly on the end, opposite the sink area for easy reach.

Let’s take a look at the Sub-Zero Wolf appliances…

Here we have the impressive Sub-Zero refrigerator with the over-and-under fridge freezer with French door. This has been built into a standalone piece of furniture with pull-out larders either side and a traditional cornice and an in-line plinth.

Check out the two pull-out larders either side of the refrigeration system. Each shelf is perfectly positioned to store those long-lengthed items and other kitchen essentials.

Here we have a stack of Wolf M-Series appliances. At the top is a Wolf Convection Steam Oven, then a Wolf M-Series Professional Oven and at the bottom a Wolf Warming Drawer. This is the ultimate in cooking appliances with amazing features, 10 cooking modes and the convection steam oven has replaced the microwave for our client.

To the left of this bank of appliances sits a fridge for wine storage, perfectly positioned to pour a glass or add to that delicious meal.

This is a close-up shot of the Wolf 914mm Professional Gas Cooktop. It includes five dual stacked, sealed burners that give cooks greater control over a wide range of heat outputs from 5.3KW highs to 0.1KW simmers.

Wolf cooking meets the unflinchingly high standards of professional chefs, ensuring precise control and the utmost quality every time.

The ideal pantry cupboards sit above the cooking area with one including bespoke spice racks on the inside of the doors. This is a neat and tidy way of keeping all those kitchen essentials in one place, as well as allowing you to see what you have and if you need to stock up!

Our client specified extra pull-out drawers which have an additional internal drawer, these replace traditional shelved cabinets with all the items coming out to you without having to bend down to find something under the worktop.

A lovely pull-out drawer sits underneath the sink area which has been designed for chopping boards and serving trays.

The kitchen then flows into a utility room with the furniture perfectly matching. A large sink and plenty of storage lie within making use of all the available space.

The perfect space has been created for the washing machine and tumble dryer. These are stacked up on a reinforced shelf to save space and create that wow factor!

In the corner, there is bespoke shelving to store those washing essentials and items that we may not use every day.
