Handmade Kitchen Projects of 2020
Last year was quite different from normal years due to the pandemic, but we adhered by government guidelines and still worked with our clients to design and build bespoke handmade kitchens that fulfiled all of their dreams.
Many of our clients opted for our classic shaker style, where it’s beautifully crafted with an in-frame design, complete with clean lines, a Georgian style beaded front frame, recessed panel doors and an in-line or recessed plinth.
Lots of different colours were chosen, with many alternative layouts and extra features including award-winning appliances from Sub-Zero Wolf.
In this blog, we will look back over the year and show you some of our handmade kitchen projects of 2020. We hope it gives you some inspiration to create your dream kitchen.
Firstly we will take a look at the classic shaker we designed and built in Hadley Wood. This is such an impressive kitchen produced for our decerning client, where every last detail has been meticulously thought through and specified by the client with their interior designer and us.
Our client also selected the very best hardware which includes cooking and cooling appliances by Sub-Zero Wolf, taps by Perrin & Rowe, sinks by Shaws and Armac Martin handles/knobs.
The island has been anchored to be the main attraction, where it has been hand-painted in a beautiful bold blue, which delivers warmth and intimacy, without being overwhelming by its presence. This colour is called Juniper Ash 115 by Little Greene. The main kitchen has been hand-painted in French Grey 113 by Little Greene and is known as a ‘fancy’ colour far from cheap.
High ceilings fill the room with plenty of light, both from natural and lighting fixtures.
Next is the classic shaker in Hatfield Broad Oak. A fairytale home that elevates functionality, style and design all through our bespoke furniture. This space has been opened up to include our client’s personality throughout and provide a kitchen design that is multi-functional and relaxing.
A gorgeous combination of colours have been used – Basalt 221 and French Grey Mid 162 both by Little Greene. The island and pantry cupboard have been hand-painted in the timeless blue-black to stand out from the rest of the cabinetry and create focal points in this open-plan space.
There’s nothing better than a marriage of a bespoke space with bespoke furniture. The space has been bought all together with more natural light than you can imagine and an elegant style with the furnishings and decorative pieces used.
This is very much of a wow factor as soon as you walk through the door! This stunning and spacious classic shaker we designed and built for our client in Stock, Essex includes many dream items. Sub-Zero Wolf appliances were selected by our client to create a professional kitchen that celebrity chefs would love! A large island sits central seating up to 6 guests and dividing the space from the living area, and a marbled splashback was chosen that includes subtle gold and grey colours running through the surface – this is known as Calacatta Oro.
This kitchen has also been hand-painted in a two-tone colour scheme with colours from Farrow & Ball – Card Room Green and Slipper Satin.
Every corner has been filled and a luxury kitchen design has been created.
This warm and welcoming classic shaker we designed into this property in Cuffley, Herts fully utilises the space available with a large central island and L-shaped run of furniture and worktop. Carrara marbled worktops were selected and the finest appliances by Sub-Zero Wolf.
A lovely warm and delicate white has been hand-painted onto the furniture with the sleekest of finishes from the hardware and accessories, making the soft white hue glow throughout.
This green and white kitchen has a truly bespoke appearance. This project was completed in Broxbourne, Herts in a new-build after the original home was knocked down and re-built to our client’s specifications. What’s unique about this design is that the kitchen island features a large circular area and a stunning granite worktop known as Cosmic Black. A Smeg range cooker was also chosen to produce the most perfect meals and to fit within the country kitchen style.
We have saved this one until last because it comes complete with a two-style design. Traditional and contemporary both in one with a handleless individual style. The reason why this is so unique is due to the seamless wall of furniture and the cabinets featuring traditional style mouldings with handleless doors and drawers creating the mix of traditional and contemporary.
We built and designed this stunning kitchen in Mapesbury, London.
