At Nicholas Bridger, we love producing handmade furniture of any sort to fit in with any kitchen design. Our designs range from kitchens to bathrooms, to handmade bars and TV cabinets.

TV cabinetry is becoming very popular in larger homes due to modern open-plan living spaces. They provide a place where the TV can easily be seen from all angles of the kitchen, a design statement and extra kitchen cabinets for more storage.

In this blog, we will showcase some of our favourite TV cabinetry we have designed for homes around the UK and how they have made a difference to the kitchen/living areas.

Our handmade furniture at Nicholas Bridger is designed, manufactured and installed into truly bespoke kitchens that are built with pride, love and solid wood. We also make sure that all our handmade kitchens are met with every one of our client’s individual circumstances and requirements.

The end result of your kitchen is working with a company that you can trust to exceed your expectations. We as a company love designing and completing unique features to the home, and we are excited to showcase our handmade TV cabinets.

Winchmore Hill TV Cabinet

Hand-painted in Plummett by Farrow & Ball, this TV unit we handmade for our client in Winchmore Hill below sits behind the dining table in the very large open-plan space. It has been placed in the ideal kitchen layout allowing the family and guests to watch and join in from the central kitchen island too. So when there’s a sports match on, what better way to enjoy than together in this delightful space.

The cabinet is made up of our beautiful traditional shaker style providing extra storage and finished with Perrin & Rowe polished chrome knobs. The bottom of this has been completed with a traditional skirting style plinth, a chunky oak look that will never go out of fashion.

The TV was measured and a solid wooden frame was built on top to create this sleek and beautiful finishing touch.

The strong architectural grey that it’s hand-painted in gives off a strikingly modern feel which is conducive to minimal living.

Cuffley TV Cabinet

In our client’s property in Cuffley below, the kitchen was opened up to create a living area too. On a blank canvas, we built a solid block of open-shelving and a lovely little place for the TV.

This unique type of shelving brings colour and personality into the room. It’s the perfect place to show off your prized possessions and delicate ornaments.

This was hand-painted in Charleston Gray by Farrow & Ball. The warm and muted grey is very popular for use in modern living rooms and kitchen, with its brown undertones creating a warm, enveloping and hushed atmosphere. We just love this cosy space.

Henham TV Cabinet

Recently added to our kitchen projects is this classic shaker we built and created in Henham, Essex. It comes complete with a large open-plan space and most importantly the ideal spot for a handmade TV unit. It was finished with traditional style cornices and inset plinths.

The slim, tall unit was placed in the far left corner of the kitchen behind the dining table. Therefore it allows for soft seating while eating dinner and catching up with that TV show you recorded.

We hand-painted the kitchen cabinets in Down Pipe by Farrow & Ball. This dark lead grey is a daringly dark hue that is fabulous to use in a kitchen.

Epping TV Cabinet

Located to the bottom of the kitchen, where a circular dining table lays is a slim tall TV cabinet hand-painted in Stiffkey Blue by Farrow & Ball. A great kitchen accessory for this high-end space finished in our classic shaker style.

Stiffkey Blue is an inky navy, with a traditional feel. It creates a richly dramatic space with a more contemporary finish. It’s the perfect colour to complement the Cornforth White also by Farrow & Ball.

It houses our client’s TV with additional storage cupboards, finished with a traditional cornice and a skirting style plinth.

It was placed next to the award-winning Sub-Zero Fridge Freezer.

Here at Nicholas Bridger, we pride ourselves in giving our client’s the best service possible as well as creating their dream luxury kitchen with the perfect additional kitchen ideas.
