  3. Introducing ‘Colour by Nature Collection’ from Farrow & Ball

This new colour collection from Farrow & Ball is inspired by Werner’s Nomenclature of Colours, the original book which classified colour in nature and was an indispensable tool for Charles Darwin, when recording his findings from the 1831 – 36 voyage of HMS Beagle. It was where he recorded in detail the exact hues and corresponding parts of animals, vegetables and minerals from across the natural world, becoming a treasured source for scientists and artists alike.

The collection features 16 colours that are drawn directly from the natural world, all created in Farrow & Ball’s eco-friendly water based paints to help bring the true colours of nature into your home. These natural colours will certainly finish off a handmade kitchen by Nicholas Bridger.

In Farrow & Ball’s own words… “The true colours of nature await…”

The Natural History Museum in London is a place where you can discover nature and science all in one building, creating a wonder for all who visits. From rocks and precious stones to delicate butterfly wings.

We think… what a perfect collaboration of capturing the true colours of the world around us, and bringing them in the home with special paint colours we will love.

At Nicholas Bridger all our kitchens are hand-painted on-site once the kitchen has been built. This is a beautiful brush-on finish that follows the wood grain perfectly while protecting the wood beneath it.

We use quality paints from the main specialists in the market such as Farrow & Ball… and we are excited to announce this new colour palette that is inspired by nature around us.
