We have added one of these luxurious American sinks to our showroom for you all to see and test out for yourself. They are a great addition to have if you are opting for Sub-Zero Wolf appliances as the special designed Wolf trays can fit into these specific sinks.

Kohler has been improving the level of gracious living since 1873 where it all began. John Michael Kohler, was the company’s founder, an Austrian immigrant and a businessman. In 1873 he purchased a foundry in rural Sheboygan, Wisconsin, United States that produced a variety of cast-iron and steel products. They believe a better business and a better world go hand-in hand.

Top-mount sinks

Top-mount sinks from Kohler are the easiest to install, and are often used with laminate countertops. The Riverby sink is understated, very elegant and a versatile addition to the kitchen, the Farmstead sink brings sophisitication and warmth to the kitchen with a clean, contemporary update, and the Kennon sink features a wave-like curve that complements any kitchen decor.

Under-mount sinks

Under-mount sinks from Kohler are used with solid surfaces such as stone and quartz countertops. They are inspired by the vision of ‘Art Enriching Life’, and can in stainless steel, ceramic and cast iron. The Verity is an undermount farmhouse style, the Icerock Trough sinks are long and narrow that are ideal for ice and washing food, and the Smart Divide within the Iron/Tones collection is made up of a dividing ledge between the bowls giving you either two shallow bowls or one large deeper bowl.

Apron-front sinks

Apron-front sinks are a farmhouse style, that are available in under-mount, top-mount and tile-in models. The Whitehaven features a streamlined and versatile farmhouse style that complements any decor, with the large single basin accommodating for pots and pans. The Strive collection offers professional style with easy-to-clean curved corners, and the Dickinson offering a simple, functional alternative to larger double-bowl sinks.

The Iron/Tones Under Mount Smart Divide in our Showroom

The Iron/Tone sink offers a simple design that is suitable for both modern and traditional kitchens. We added this particular sink to the showroom to show you how practical and well-made the Kohler sinks are. We have fitted it into our in-frame contemporary style furniture amongst the ‘Black Beauty’ granite worktop.

Nick always suggests that a 1.5 sink is the best size to allow you to keep clean and and dirty dishes separate, and washing the salad and preparing pasta without the need to juggle. The Smart Divide, divides the two compartments keeping the two basins separate while allowing you to use the entire sink as a single bowl for the largest trays and pans (which you can see in the photos below) and provides you with a practical and versatile sink area.

Have you ever been in the situation where your large tray is sitting above the level of the worktop so when scrubbing and washing the water and dirt goes everywhere? Well having a large sink with the smart divide prevents this issue by allowing you to wash up large trays and pans below the worktop level.

It is crafted from enameled cast iron, where it provides a resistant to chipping, cracking and burning, and offers years of beauty and reliable performance.

With it being an American design it is ideal for the large Colbalt blue trays of 762mm width from the stunning Wolf oven collection. You can see this below in the picture.

Below the impressive sink area a special pull out full height drawer makes space for all the cleaning products, allowing it to be a multi-functional kitchen layout for the all the family (well not the children). We hand painted this in ‘Elephant’s Breath’ by Farrow & Ball.
