Mirrored Splashbacks – Antique Effect

A mirrored splashback is a sought after finishing product in a bespoke handmade kitchen, but an antique effect one is that little bit more special. Ideal for both smaller and expansive spaces, this type of splashback creates an impressive feature when incorporated behind cooking runs and handmade units such as dressers and bars. It even gives the illusion of the room being bigger than it actually is.

In this blog, we look at our Bishop’s Stortford project who incorporated a mottled antique effect splashback to their cooking area and handmade bar within their kitchen design.

Just a small mirrored space used but perfectly formed into this luxury period home. This particular project has not only one kitchen but two (the main kitchen area with a central island and Wolf cooking appliances, and a prep kitchen with a Sub-Zero refrigeration system). This impressive space has been designed for both family life and entertaining. Guest can perch at the island with a glass of bubbly whilst the cook chats to them through the splashback whilst preparing dinner at the Wolf Induction Hob.

As it’s one large piece of mirror, it’s really easy to clean. Just use a regular glass cleaner and you have yourself a fresh, clean looking glass splashback – perfect for busy, messy family life.

It comes complete with glass-fronted cabinets, glass shelves and the mottled antique splashback behind. Bespoke kitchen cabinets sit below to store other glassware and spirits for the perfect cocktail.
