Classic Shaker Kitchen 67 – Hadley Wood, London

This property has been fully renovated and extended out to offer a large kitchen/dining, open plan layout. It is also based around an l-shaped profile, with the main part of the kitchen in the new extension.

Hand-painted

We have a lovely combination of paint from two paint companies; the Slate V165 by Paint and Paper Library which is for the main kitchen furniture including the bookcase and dresser, the other paint is for the island and this is Hicks Blue 208 by Little Greene.

The technique we use is our tried and tested, brushed-on technique with quality paints, for the ultimate in style and a long-lasting finish which can be easily repaired or changed in the future.

Kitchen Features

With this unique l-shaped kitchen we have individual pieces of furniture that are absolutely stunning, this includes the floor-to-ceiling dresser/bar with integrated Walnut ladder, the dresser/bookcase with integrated serving trays and chopping boards and finally the fridge/freezer which you may not spot beside the island – neatly integrated in a pantry-style cupboard.

What Is Shaker Design?

Shaker furniture is a distinctive style of furniture developed by the United Society of Believers in Christ’s Second Appearing, commonly known as Shakers, a religious sect that had guiding principles of simplicity, utility and honesty. Their beliefs were reflected in the well-made furniture of minimalist designs. Wikipedia.
